Welcome to Shark Book

If you’ve ever typed “how to use AI to grow my business” into Google at 11 p.m., hoping for an answer that isn’t a sales pitch or a 40-tab rabbit hole, you’re in the right place.

I’m Chris. I build AI agents for small businesses in New York. Not chatbots that answer three questions and give up. Agents that do real work: following up with leads, sorting the inbox, moving data between the tools you already pay for. The busywork that eats your team’s week.

What you’ll find here

  • Real examples. What agents actually do inside a business, including Finn, the assistant on this site.
  • What not to automate. Some jobs should stay with people. I’ll tell you which ones.
  • What it costs. Building an agent is one bill. Running it is another. I’ll show you both.
  • Honest takes on new tools. When OpenAI, Google or Meta ships something new, I’ll tell you whether it matters for a small business.

Why listen to me

I spent years in sales, first in financial services, then selling and designing security systems at ADT. I watched talented people lose hours to admin work every single week. Now I’m a Forward Deployed Engineer, and I build the agents that take that work off their plate.

Security taught me something that still shapes every agent I build: know what goes in, know what’s allowed out, and make sure a person signs off on anything risky.

“The street finds its own uses for things.” — William Gibson

That line is even truer with AI. The best uses I’ve seen weren’t in anyone’s demo. They came from an owner saying, “I wish someone would just handle this.”

Got one of those?

Tell me about it. Book a 30-minute discovery call, or ask Finn and he’ll set it up for you. I’ll tell you honestly whether an agent is the answer.
